News from Villa Park
* Villa Park students went back to school on August 20 this year. The city reminds motorists that the school zone speed limit is 15 mph. The city council has a city/schools committee that meets bi-monthly during the school year. Call Jorge Garcia at City Hall (714) 98-1500 for more information.

* The Orange County Fire Authority is currently accepting applications for those interested in serving as Reserve Firefighters at Station 23 which serves Villa Park and surrounding communities.
* All business activity in Villa Park, whether through home occupations or via the hiring of landscapers, maids, plumbers, handyman services etc., requires a City Business License. These can be obtained by completing an application and payment at City Hall, 17855 Santiago Blvd., Villa Park. * Discharging pool or spa water into the storm drain system without a permit is illegal in Villa Park. Contact Jason Carson, Associate Planner at the city for permits and information. (714) 998-1500.
* A new bike rack has been installed in front of City Hall that can accommodate five bicycles.
